Maxwell received his PhD in Operations Research from Stanford University, supervised by Itai Ashlagi and focusing on the design and analysis of matching mechanisms. His academic interests include mechanism design, auction theory, and microeconomic theory more broadly.
Maxwell is from Vancouver, Canada, and he received a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia. His previous work has included designing mechanisms for decentralized attestations and reputation systems, and he now consults for Auctionomics on economic analysis and auction design.
